My Quest for Chicago’s Top 50 Sandwiches
I’ve dined at Alinea in Chicago and yet can often be found eating ketchup from a spoon late at night in my apartment. So, imagine my delight when I discovered that fine food that you can eat with your hands had been chronicled and rated by Chicago Magazine in its list of top 50 sandwiches.
I have set out to sample each of these sandwiches at least once over the course of 2013. Fifty sandwiches, 52 weeks – this should be pretty doable. In fact, I think I had pursued two of the sandwiches before even formalizing my quest. And because I’m an analytical nerd, I’ve even generated my own Google Map to track the locations of each sandwich in Chicago. I will update this map as I tick each sammich off my list.
I hope you’ll join me as I set out to Chicago’s neighborhoods to explore unique creations that inspire and delight. Of course, along with tasting what are all ostensibly extraordinary sandwiches, I’ll be afforded a sampling of the unique culture each neighborhood offers.
nice concept! and I like the blog layout too. Good luck my friend!
Thanks-it’s a tough job working my way through all kinda of deliciousness around one of the greatest cities, but somehow I’ll get through it.
Great idea! Look forward to following your Chi-town neighborhood and sandwich travels.
